The Procurement Subcontracts Specialist is responsible for conducting strategic sourcing initiatives and the ongoing supplier management and subcontract management. The Procurement Subcontracts Specialist is also responsible for providing advice to management and staff on contractual matters on existing subcontracts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Identify gaps in the supply chain’s capability to meet business needs.
- Conduct pre award sourcing activities using RF(x) suite of documentation.
- Conduct difficult and often complex high-risk procurements.
- Review proposals, negotiate contractual documentation and select or recommend suppliers.
- Carry out post award contract execution and contract administration.
- Manage post award supplier relationship and performance management of suppliers.
- Be the point of contact with assigned subcontractor/supplier for all related contractual matters.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Tertiary Education (Bachelors equivalent) in Supply Chain, Commerce, Law, Engineering or Business
- Experience in full contract lifecycle procurement is essential, ideally in a manufacturing or similar environment
- Previous experience in high value contract/subcontract management
- Strong negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to manage multiple subcontracts and meet deadlines.
