Purpose of the Position
Supports the Procurement Manager in all matters with the procurement of raw materials and finished products. Ensures information provided from various suppliers is maintained and updated within the ERP environment and various inventory management spreadsheets.
Assists the identification of any inventory issues, ensures issues are documented and communicated to the Procurement Manager.  Assists the Procurement Manager with maintenance of inventory levels for purchased raw materials and finished goods (excluding bulk-silo).

• Assists Procurement Manager in accurately managing the inventory thorough analysis of stock levels, sales histories, and forecasts to be able to effectively purchase stock ensuring product rotation while optimising working capital. This includes the regular review of relevant minimum /maximum stock levels and transfers of stock to all warehouses.
• Assist in the planning, managing, and coordination of all activities related to the sourcing and procurement of necessary materials and supplies needed to meet changing levels of product demand.
• Ensure full cooperation and communication with Mapei subsidiaries and export departments and external parties to ensure the delivery, cost and quality requirements of the business are achieved.
• Assist in the purchasing processes and systems to ensure the appropriate procedures are adhered to and all transactions are entered accurately in ERP. This includes timely and sharing of documentation with the finance department.
• Ensures the accurate implementation and daily application of Corporate Procedures and Guidelines within procurement.
• Ensure information related to imported finished goods and raw materials is regularly maintained within the ERP system and provide information as requested by sales personnel.
• Assist in the identification of material supply constraints ensure timely communication to the procurement manager of stock issues.
